WEB EXCLUSIVE This week spring sports including track and field, badminton, lacrosse, and swimming have their first games and meets. The lacrosse team was scheduled to play Head Royce on Tuesday but the game was canceled due to weather conditions.

“The swim team has our first meet on Thursday against The Athenian School,” freshman Finley Simon said. “I am really excited to be in a competitive environment at the meet and put to work the skills I have learned in practice.”

The track and field team is hosting their first meet on Fri. at the Sunset Invitational at Kezar Stadium. The events include short and long sprints, jumping, long distance, and throwing.

“We have been working so hard this whole season,” junior Bella Shea, who runs short sprints, said. “I can’t wait to finally have a meet because I feel like I have improved a lot from last year.”

The badminton team has its first match on Thurs. against University High School. Freshman Sloane Riley says she feels prepared for the match.

“We have had many practices this year so far and we have built a strong foundation for the season,” Simon said. “This first meet will be a great start to the many meets we will have this season.”
