Coachella, the iconic music and arts festival, is set to kick off this weekend, running from Apr. 11 to Apr. 13. The event brings together a diverse lineup of artists, thrilling performances, and fun art installations, making it a must-attend for music lovers and festival goers.
After the first weekend, the festival will continue for a second weekend from Apr. 18 to Apr. 20, offering another chance to experience the atmosphere and talent. Whether you’re attending for the music, culture, or unique experiences, Coachella promises to be an amazing festival, according to freshman Valerie Repkin.
“The artist I am most excited to see is Travis Scott,” Repik said. “I think the atmosphere and music are going to be great.”
This year, the headliners are Travis Scott, Lady Gaga, Green Day, and Post Malone. This artist and the others will bring a mix of rap, pop, punk, country, and more, letting everyone who is attending be able to hear from a variety of music genres.
“I am disappointed I am not able to go,” freshman Seneca Moller said. “I hope in the future I can go to experience the fun culture and music.”
Coachella is known not only for its music but also for its impact on fashion, art, and social media. Each year, people come up with elaborate, fun outfits for each day. Many people look forward to seeing the creative outfits, art installations, and viral moments that come from the festival.
“To me, it is a disappointing lineup,” History teacher Nicole Griffith said. “But, if I was going, I would want to see Polo & Pan.”
Coachella continues to be one of the most popular festivals in the world. Whether watching from home or attending in person, fans are excited to see what this year’s festival has in store for 2025, according to Repkin.
“I am excited to see some of my favorite artists perform this weekend,” Repkin said. “It’s going to be a very fun and exciting weekend.”
