WEB EXCLUSIVE Students spent lunch today creating posters for Stuart Hall’s basketball team’s state championship game against View Park Preparatory High School this Friday.

High students, teachers, faculty and students from Convent Elementary and Stuart Hall for Boys who were admitted early decision to Convent & Stuart Hall will bus with the posters to the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento to support the players at the 12 p.m. game.

“We are hoping to cultivate school spirit with everyone being bused up to the game,” Stuart Hall senior and Athletics Representative William Kahn said. “With the creative student body that we have here, there are a lot of unique and personalized signs being created to cheer on athletes during the game.”

The poster slogans include “Rep the Hall”, “Get Loud” and “We the North 415,” as well as individualized posters for the players with their jersey numbers, according to senior and Student Body Operations Officer Rosie Morford.

“Making posters is a fun way to prepare for the game and bring students together with a common goal,” Morford said. “I hope the posters support and excite the players.”

Stuart Hall’s 2018 basketball team is the first team from Convent & Stuart Hall to reach the top of their division since the Convent basketball team’s state championship win in 2003.

“As a small school, it’s pretty incredible to be going to a championship game,” junior and Spirit Representative Anna Doggett said. “Since this is a special opportunity for us, we especially want to get crowds pumped with our posters.”
