Students finished the first two days of classes with a back-to-school carnival and dance, complete with a bouncy house, face painting, and temporary tattoos, as well as blue and pink cotton candy, popcorn, and root beer floats.
“This is a great way to kick off the school year,” sophomore Daniella Lucio said. “Seeing all the grades come together to just have fun and interact really brings a great sense of school spirit.”
Student Council members ran food and activity booths outside the Little Theater, while the dance took place inside, with other officers DJing.
The Senior Class painted carnival-goer’s faces with Convent and Stuart Hall logos and hearts, while students self-applied temporary tattoos of animals, flowers and cartoon character’s faces.
“Student Council worked hard to create the best carnival we could,” SHHS treasurer Patrick Wong said. “It’s great to see everyone enjoying themselves and having a blast.”
