A group of Taiwanese students is making its second stop of their 23-day United States tour at Schools of the Sacred Heart this week, attending a CSH basketball game, eating pizza and performing for the elementary schools.
Twenty-nine sophomores from 10 different schools from Taipei area are visiting Sacred Heart schools and tourist attractions in the Bay Area and St. Louis.
“I like seeing classes because everyone sits in a circle has a discussion,” said visiting sophomore Daphne Chen in Mandarin. “In Taiwan we sit in rows and not everyone will raise their hand.”
The students arrived in San Francisco on Tuesday and will depart for St. Louis on Saturday where they will stay for two weeks while attending classes at Sacred Heart sister school Villa Duchense. This morning they performed traditional dances, music and martial arts for Stuart Hall for Boys, and they will give another performance for Convent Elementary tomorrow.
