As the fall sports seasons come to an end, Convent and Stuart Hall high school celebrate their seniors as they finish off their last fall season. The week started off with Convent High School—CHS—varsity volleyball, then CHS varsity golf, CHS varsity tennis, and finishing off the week with Stuart Hall football.
On Oct. 15, 2024, the CHS varsity volleyball team celebrated their seniors, Kendyle Silver, Kaiya Koenigsberg, Brooke Latch, Maddy Aldecoa, and Grace Warner. Teammates gave each of the seniors a photo of them and signatures of the whole team with a sweet message on the back of the photo. Selected teammates also gave a thoughtful speech to each of the seniors at the end of the game, according to sacredsfathletics.
“I’ll miss the seniors very much,” freshman Caroline Koch said. “They are very nice, and I am happy for them,”
On Oct. 21, 2024, the CHS varsity golf team celebrated senior Ellis Hummel at Harding Park. They played in the BAC championship against Holy Names and won, ending Ellis’s last season on a high note.
“I think that senior week is a really cool way to celebrate the seniors on the sports team,” sophomore Arria Shimizu said. “I feel that it is always something to look forward to, not only for the seniors but for the rest of the team as well,”
The CHS varsity field hockey team celebrated their seniors, Georgia Doyle and Nora Weltman, during their final game against University. Both girls dedicated most of their high school years to field hockey, Georgia playing for all four years and Nora playing for the past two years.
“I was super excited that this week was senior week,” sophomore Alexandra Herrmann said. “I am excited because we get to celebrate all of the accomplishments that the seniors have made within their sports,”
On Friday, Oct. 25, 2024, Stuart Hall varsity football will hold their senior night during their game against Branson. The team will be celebrating their seniors, Rhett Sypult, Geno Putt, Lucas Mirgoli, Jack McNamara, James Ferguson, Max Oenning, Gray Ginocchio, Alex Heinicke, Matteo Calzolai, Pavan Farrell, and Mateo DeLa’O.
